Hey everyone, I would like to announce the newest member of our family, Alanna Faye Rustand. She was born Wednesday, November 2nd at 12:08 PM. At birth she weighed 6lbs 10oz and was 19 inches long.
Julie was scheduled for a planned c-section on Thursday, but Alanna had a different plan in mind. Julie started going into labor around 2AM on Tuesday morning, and by 7AM the contractions had become frequent enough we had to rush off to the hospital. Of course we were in the middle of a winter storm at the time, but we arrived at the hospital safely in Colorado Springs. The c-section went as planned and now we have a beautiful baby girl. Julie does a little narration of how it all happened in the video below.

ReplyDeleteDid you know her birthday is a palindrome? 11022011. Cool, huh? Congratulations to you both. It looks like, from the pictures, that big brother likes her. She looks precious and I'm glad that everything went well with her deliver.
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! Congrats Rustand Family! She is SO SO Cute and we're pumped to hold her in December. :) We looked at the picture of you in the OR and Drew said "That's Matt? Oh, he's pretending to be a nurse." LOL On the close up of Alanna with her eyes open, Tanna said "oh, Cuuuuuuuu" They're excited to meet their 4th cousin on their mommy's side. So fun. Congrats again!
