What do I do?
After the last two attempts at uploading pictures to the blog, I finally got a message telling me why it's not working - I'm out of space! I'm not sure what to do from here, so until I figure it out (pay for more picture storage space or find a way around it), I guess it will just be text updates. Any tips?

Week 1 of the frog potty
A week into potty training and Charlie is doing so well! I'm so tickled with how much success he's having and how proud he is of himself when he goes in the potty! Yay, Charlie! He (of course) has had a handful of accidents (including one while he was playing outside but stopped and then finished in the potty, and another accident while he was sitting in time-out, to name a few) but for the most part, he tells us when he has to go instead of us asking him. Plus, he goes #1 AND #2 in the potty!
Last Thursday (day 3 of potty training) we headed to COS for the day to get Alanna's 1-year pictures taken. I was super nervous about spending the day out and about, not really knowing what to expect. Lots of accidents? Pee in the car seat? Not being able to go on the automatic flushing toilets in almost every public restroom? Well, turns out my worrying was for nothing. We spent the whole day (10-4:45) in Colorado Springs and Charlie stayed dry the entire day. I brought the frog potty and he peed in the back of the van (reason #495 why I love the van!) every 1.5-2 hours. I shut the liftgate so he could have some privacy and away he went! Charlie even fell asleep on the way home for 30 minutes but stayed dry while he was sleeping and for the remainder of the car ride. I was so impressed! It was a great day moving forward with potty training even though we were out of the house for a majority of the day.
On Sunday morning, Charlie and Matt went to church (I was home sick with a sinus infection - and Alanna:) and Charlie peed on the big adult toilet all by himself. Matt set him up there, shut the door, and came back to yellow water. SCORE!
Charlie wore underwear to bed on Saturday night for the first time. I didn't hear anything but when I got up to go to the bathroom around 3:45ish, I checked on Charlie only to find that he wet the bed. Either he was sleeping hard and didn't realize that he peed or he just didn't care. I got him changed, pulled his sheets off, fixed up the bed, put undies back on him and tucked him in again. He stayed dry the rest of the night. On Sunday night, he stayed completely dry the entire night! No accidents on his second night of no diaper! Last night, Charlie came into our room at 2am and I immediately told him to go to the potty (as I was scampering to get out of bed and follow him there), but he didn't make it in time. He had an accident right next to our bed. Bummer! I'm glad that he realized that he had to go potty though! A quick change of clothes and we were back in business. We'll keep pressing forward and see how things go in the next month or so. Until then, I might be doing a bunch of laundry, but he has to learn at some point so why not now? I'm so excited and proud of his accomplishments!

Potty Training Take 1 (Updated)
8:15ish: Put underwear on Charlie. Bright blue briefs.
8:45: March him to the bathroom to sit on the potty chair. He produces nothing but smiles.
9:04: Charlie pees his pants in the living room. Clean Charlie, clean floor, put new underwear on. Grass green ones.
9:45: March him to the bathroom to sit on the potty chair. He wiggles and giggles, but still produces nothing.
10:15: Charlie pees his pants again. Clean him and the floor. Again. Put new underwear on. Next up? Red!
10:45: I'm smelling something suspicious while talking on the phone to my mom. I check the child that I hope pooped: Alanna. No luck. I pull back Charlie's red briefs and hope that I'm greeted with leftover fart air but instead see some very distinct brown marbles. Clean up is easier than I thought. A few wipes, some time on the potty chair (again producing nothing), and we're ready for another new pair of underwear. Navy.
11:30: March Charlie to the bathroom to sit on the potty chair. He can hardly keep his little cheeks on the seat. After 10 solid minutes of encouraging him to pee, we give up. I pull up his drawers.
12:20: After a delicious lunch of pancakes and yogurt and right as I'm about to get Charlie down to wipe him up and make a potty stop, I hear a sweet little, "Uh-oh." Down to the bathroom we go, me with my stern face and Charlie with his syrupy hands and wet pants. Clean hands take 30 seconds. The rest takes a bit longer. The laundry piles up as high as my frustrations. On goes a diaper.
Update:
After Charlie woke up from his nap, he sat on the froggy potty and went pee! Yay! Our first success! After that, he went on the hour every hour until bedtime (6-7 times) including one time toward the end of the day where he went unprompted (he told us that he had to pee!). Good work, Charlie! Our day went from failure after failure to success after success.
Today, 11-7, I put underwear on him right away this morning and he went potty several times today with only 1 1/2 accidents this morning. His 1/2 accident was when he started going but then stopped and finished on the potty - that's 1/2 accident, 1/2 success in my book! After lunch he even did a #2 job on the froggy potty. I was so excited for him! I left his underwear on for his nap today and he woke up wet. :( He got changed and stayed dry the rest of the day. I'm pretty proud of him; it feels like he's picking it up quickly. Obviously he's thrilled to be getting candy (Skittles), too. Added bonus. Keep up the great work, Charlie!

Birthday Tooth
I thought I saw a little something in Alanna's mouth this morning so I stuck my finger in there only to find a new tooth! She now has three teeth on the bottom (and four on top) since she just got the bottom second to the left tooth. I have been feeling around for new teeth lately, but moreso checking for molars and not front teeth. Surprise! Maybe her other bottom one will come shortly behind this one?!

Charlie's newest trick
Charlie knows his phone number!! After a few weeks of asking him to repeat it (while driving between errands and occasionally at random at home), Charlie knows his phone number!!!! He was jumping on the trampoline this morning and recited his digits out of nowhere - without even being prompted. 4295260. Yay, Charlie! We'll have to post a video soon. :)
Happy Birthday, Sweet Baby Girl!!
Our Alanna girl turned 1 today! I think it might take a bit for that statement to actually sink in, but like it or not, she did indeed turn one today. We had a fun day together as a family, celebrating this little girl that has forever changed our lives. How she lights up a room with her big blue eyes and bright, pretty smile. How she babbles and shrieks and giggles at random. How she instigates rough-n-tumble play with her big bro. How SHE is the one who pulls all the pillows off the couches, not Charlie, who often gets the blame for such events. How she holds her arms up as if she has to be held right now or the world will stop. How she snuggles on your chest for hardly 3 seconds before picking up her head and flashing a toothy grin. Oh, Alanna - how we love you so much!! Happy, happy birthday to our sweet daughter! We love you so much!
