Going Home from the Hospital

10-24
Our last day in the hospital and going home.

Hattie's going home outfit, a soft pink fleece sleeper with a little white mouse on the side.

Big bright eyes for Daddy!

Our first picture as a family of six!!!

This infant seat has carried all four babies home from the hospital and beyond. I still love those owls! Hattie is just so tiny in there!

Now that we're home, let the holding begin. Alanna was quick to ask first. :)

I laid Hattie down on her belly on the boppy for a few minutes. Here's a top view of her hair.

The extra counter space in the main bathroom works great for a changing station. I love having the sink right there for the messy blowouts, the first of which happened today (10-28).

Charlie sat just like his so often when he would hold Molly as a baby. He fell right back into it as if this is all old habit for him.

This is Melanie! She and Eric made supper for us the first night home from the hospital, so they stayed for a short visit when they dropped off food.

Matt and I gave Hattie her first sponge bath at home that night. She cried through most of it.

Hattie is wearing Molly's going home outfit in this picture!

Hattie sleeps in our room in the pack and play on my side of the bed. She's right within arms reach, which I love. On her first night home from the hospital, she slept from 11:30pm-3:30, was awake to nurse for an hour, and then back to sleep from 4:30-9am. No complaints here!!! It felt so nice to sleep in my own bed that night!

Second Day In the Hospital

October 23, 2015
Hattie's second day of life and our time in the hospital.

Hattie came back from one of her trips to the nursery for something or other with this purple headband on. It's crocheted and super soft, and the bow is perfectly proportionate to her head. She looks pretty cute in it!

Her baggy baby skin! She'll grow into it.
We took this picture because Alanna left her doll win the hospital room the day before, and it was sitting on the couch, so we thought it would be a nice little perspective photo.

All four of our babies have worn these onesies.
And this outfit came from lake grandma for Alanna when she was itty bitty.

Daddy and Alanna's special time at the hospital. My friend Molly French braided Alanna's hair in two cute braids. Maybe I shouldn't have told you that and let you think that Matt completed some kind of course in girl hairstyles...

Why upside down? Come on blogger!

An armful of girlies!!

Me and my three daughters! Wow!

Our four precious children. What blessings they are. We love them to pieces!!

Catching some great sleep on my chest while I napped, too. I love the feeling of my baby girl on my chest!
Daddy and the kids return for an evening visit. They came bearing chocolate chip cookies and much better spirits. It was lovely!!

Daddy and his children. These are my people. Sigh. (Insert welling of tears in eyes.)

So not planned, but I love the little hands all over Hattie!
