10-18
I took Charlie and Alanna to the pumpkin patch at Wildlife Safari on Sunday afternoon just to check it out. Matt needed some rest/couch time while Molly napped so it worked out great to take the oldest two out. Plus, after our week of HFMD, I was eager for an outing myself. The pumpkin patch at Wildlife Safari Village was more carnival like than a typical pumpkin patch; we bought tickets and then spent the tickets on rides and games. The rides were a cute little pumpkin ferris wheel that didn't go more than 10 feet high, a train, and a pumpkin stagecoach pulled by a tractor. Charlie and Alanna used their tickets to play a spin the wheel game, pumpkin bowling, a fishing game, and to each get their face painted. The prizes to the games were either tickets to be collected and redeemed for a big prize or a food ticket which could be redeemed for any snack from the food huts. Charlie won a food ticket so he and Alanna split a bag of popcorn. At the end of our two hours at the village, Charlie had 8 tickets and picked out two globe keychain while Alanna had 7 ticket and picked out a globe keychain and a bead necklace. We didn't even come home with a pumpkin! I figured we had enough pumpkins on our step already. :) It was a beautiful fall afternoon and we had a good time!!

Pumpkin stagecoach
It was just like Cinderella's stagecoach only hers was white and pulled by houses while this one was orange and pulled by a tractor.
The train ride
Alanna chose a pink fish for her face and Charlie chose a little tiger on his arm.
