Bishop's Castle... With 8 Kids.

10-28
On Sunday, we took another day trip to Bishop's Castle and Westcliffe. I maybe should have warned Nathan and Amanda about the level of un-kid-friendliness that is Bishop's Castle... I fear we shaved off a few years of Nathan's life. Bishop's Castle is built by hand and it's not exactly up to code! Lots of random drop-offs and non-existent railings on steep and winding staircases. It is super neat but kind-of scary! We stayed pretty low and didn't venture up into the catwalks. After an hour or so, we drove another 20 minutes over to Westcliffe to have a picnic lunch and play at the playground for a while.

 Love this crew!

At the playground in Westcliffe with our feet firmly planted on the ground. ;)

Later that evening, Hattie and Bekah were having a ball playing kitchen together. Their three-year-old chatter was so cute! Nate and Amanda packed up that night so they would be ready to hit the road early Monday morning for the long trek home. Our time together went so fast.
Thanks for taking the time to come and see us, Davises! We had a blast and can't wait until the next time we get together!
