Because it was an early release day, Matt, Charlie, and Alanna tackled the pumpkins when Charlie got home from school. Molly, Hattie, and I missed the whole thing since we were napping. Hattie and I emerged just as Matt was pulling newspaper off the table and cleaning up. Matt had Charlie and Alanna draw the faces they wanted on their pumpkins, and other than scooping the seeds out of the pumpkins, Matt did all the carving. It's still too hard for the kids to do it themselves! I think the pumpkins turned out so well! The faces are so cute even though Charlie was going for a mean face with his zig-zagged mouth. Nice work, Matt and kiddos!!
