Matt and I attended the Front Range Region Young Life Christmas party in Denver. It was a super fun evening! We got two baby-sitters (Linda and Glenda, two of Matt's coworkers) and left mid-afternoon for Denver. We went to the party with Loren and Amanda (pictured with us below) but were able to drive up separately. The car ride was equally as fun as the party. Quiet conversation is a treat. :) It was a casino night themed party so we played poker and roulette and ate some delicious food. We got home after 11 that night and came home to sleeping children, clean dishes in the drying rack, and a picked-up house. Glenda and Linda were awesome; they planned a few activities for the kids and bought supplies for their crafts. They made glitter pinecone ornaments (all the glitter was done in the garage!) and little chocolate mice. The body of the mouse was a chocolate covered cherry with the stem of the cherry acting as the tail on the mouse, a Hershey's kiss for the head, two almond slivers for the ears, little candy eyes, and it was all sitting on an open-faced Oreo. They were cute and really yummy. I was pretty impressed with their desire to do activities. The chocolate mice weren't something I would have ever tackled with the kids! Two adults on four kids was a good ratio for the amount of time we were gone. And we had such a fun time! I hope we can go to the party again next year!
The Christmas lights at the party location were pretty amazing!
Matt and Loren doing a classic girly pose for pictures. Hilarious.
So fun!!
