11-12
A few weeks ago, Matt dusted off the Doc McStuffins bike and got it all ready for Molly to start riding. At first Molly was riding it like a balance bike, just gliding along and using her feet to propel herself forward. But then she wanted to practice pedaling, and slowly but surely over the course of about a week, she was able to ride a little bit more and was a little bit more coordinated. Matt spent some time helping her and running alongside (classic Dad move!) the bike one Sunday after church and WA-BAM! Molly can ride a two-wheeler!!! She is LOVING her new skill and wanted to practice riding her lambie bike every day for quite a while. That's what she calls her Doc McStuffins bike - her lambie bike! It's precious. She is officially the youngest to learn how to ride a bike in our family: 3 years and 9 months. Charlie was 4 1/2 when he picked up the bike and Country Grandma's and took off like a bandit, and Alanna learned in an hour or two the day after she turned 4. I think Molly feels like such a big kid now that she can ride her own bike all by herself!! Yay, Molly Girl! So proud of you, sweetie!
Matt was almost sad that Charlie learned to ride so quickly and thus depriving Matt of the opportunity to do this (see below) with him! Alanna and Molly have helped with that.
That is one PROUD little girl!!!!
