Christmas Day - Legge Christmas

After Swensons arrived on Christmas morning, the cousins got down to business laughing and playing together. The boys were nearly inseperable while the girls had some fun of their own. Since one of the cousins was boycotting the kids table, Matt took one for the team and sat with Charlie, Tanna, and Bergen. Nearly all the way through the meal, Charlie gagged on too much chicken and threw up his lunch right on his plate. Thankfully, Matt helped him right away, and Charlie recovered quickly. The look on Charlie's face was so cute after the fact when he was reliving the event and talking about how it wasn't that fun to throw up. :(

After lunch, the guys participated in quite an epic Nerf gun war while the babies took naps. We took a few photos and then Mom had the six big kids play a game. (Or was this before lunch? I can't remember, but I know it happened!) They passed the gifts in a circle, which was hilarious to watch. At the end, each child got to open their own gift. As usual, Mom spent ridiculous amounts of time picking out gifts specifically for each child and catering to their interests and personalities. It can't be easy, shopping for 9 kiddos, but she manages to make it all work. Honestly, the kids would all be thrilled with just one gift, but Mom and Dad go above and beyond. We had such a fun day together - and the disasterous house at the end of the day was proof of that. :)
