New Year's Eve!

12-30
An attempt at a weekly picture of Molly. I give it a D+, not because she looks horrible, but because of the lighting and such. Her hair and pants totally disappear on the couch!

We stopped over to see Grandma Frances for a short visit one morning. She was having a not-so-good day but still sounded chipper and glad to see us.

12-31
Due to a change in plans, we ended up staying a bit longer than originally expected. We spent a fun day in Fargo with my sisters and families starting with a sloppy joe lunch at Edwards' and some serious play time for the big kids and nap time for Molly. Charlie and Alanna love playing at Edwards' and Swenson's houses; it's like they are in their own little toyville! Molly pulled herself up to this kitchen while Alanna, Tanna, and Bergen hit up Bergen's impressive collection of dress-up clothes. Charlie, Kemper, and Drew hit up the Legos. Charlie can sniff out a Lego brick from a mile away these days! After a few hours of playtime and visiting, Jason and Matt headed to Family Wellness for some running and racquetball time. The girls, kids, and I caught up to them later that afternoon for a group swim sans Brady who was working. A few people (me!) even tried out the waterslide! I love a good waterslide. They always bring out the kid in me. I can't help by grin like a school girl while going down a waterslide. :)
After swimming, we grabbed Costco pizzas and headed to Swenson's house for a pizza feast and more play time. The girls gravitated towards dolls while the boys jumped into Drew's Legos. Everyone stayed the night at Swenson's house which meant staying up late and having a movie night with snacks for the kids. Bergen was super sweet and shared her sleeping bag with Alanna. It was adorable! After the kids went to bed, the adults dove into some snacks and games until past midnight. It was such a fun way to ring in the new year! Added bonus: we were an hour down the road the next morning when we headed for home. Charlie was so sad to be leaving Drew's house the next morning. Those cousins sure know how to have fun together! We stopped in Valley City for a quick visit with Grandma and Grandpa Graalum but missed Grandma Reid (I tried calling her three times!).
