9-2
One of the last things that we did on our summer to-do list was to ride the rides at Pueblo City Park. They have elementary-age and younger rides for kids priced at $0.25 per ticket, and most rides are only one ticket. It's such a neat little outing! It's super cheap, the lines aren't ever long (non-existent on some!), and it's such a great little ride sampler for the kids. Charlie and Alanna LOVE the roller coaster and did it probably 3 or 4 times together.
New this year - FLYING HATTIE!!! Even Hattie got to go on some rides all by herself! She had a cute little smile/smirk on her face while her UFO was orbiting around. She looked like such a big girl.
Molly rode a few rides, too. She did two or three super tame ones and wasn't interested in trying any of the others. She really wanted to do the bounce house, so we let her do that one a few times.
Alanna was game for quite a few rides and seemed to enjoy them all.
Beep, beep!
Molly in her bounce house glory. She would have stayed forever.
Charlie's favorite was probably a tie between the roller coaster and the train. Last year, he wanted to save the train until the very last so we ended up doing it in the dark. This year, we went earlier so we could see things from the train. Who doesn't love the train!
We all did the carousel after that. Hattie got her own horse and though she doesn't look it, she loved it.
I just stood here so I could take a picture, but then when the ride was going, I stood next to Hattie so she wouldn't fall. I think the little girls and I did the carousel twice!
This was our summer poster. We all wrote down things we wanted to do throughout the summer. Some of it was things we wanted to do, some of it was things we knew we were already going to do, some of it was completely random things. We were able to check off quite a bit! I loved having the list up so we all could see it. We will definitely do this again next summer! Not surprising, but two of the things that didn't get done involved movies - going to the drive-in in Pueblo and going to a summer kids movie (the kids club kind where tickets are either $1 or less on Tues/Wed for 10am shows). It was a fun and busy summer!!
