12-16
I offered to keep Micah for a morning the week before Christmas so his mama could get some things done in prep for a big trip without Micah's 'help'. :) He had fun, we had fun, and Mel got some good work done. Total win. After playing for a few hours, I put Micah in the high chair and bumped my girls up a seat when it was time for lunch. Worked out well!
Later that afternoon, Charlie stuffed treat bags for his classmates. Mrs. Pecorilla organized a small gift exchange for the class where they decorated paper bags and brought small gifts for everyone in the class. She gave out a few ideas during conferences, like a stick of gum, a candy cane, a pencil, a sticker, etc. When Matt and I talked to Charlie about doing the gift exchange, it took so long for him to fully understand what was going on. He said that he was going to buy the girls dolls and teddy bears and buy the boys something Star Wars. Great thoughts, but probably a little more than we were willing to spend. After many suggestions from his mom and dad (code for items that can be bought at the dollar store), he settled on a candy cane and an army man for everyone. Charlie had fun stuffing each little baggie for his classmates and was excited to pass them out. Of course, Hattie had to be part of the action as well.
