Charlie, Aiden, and Bryce were all twinning in their blue school shirts one day.
This girl is ready for kindergarten! She has worked hard in her preschool books and is prepared for all things kindergarten.
Hattie likes to participate, too. She colors and draws and cuts things... and I apparently didn't fix her hair before "school". Yikes.
This was the last YoungLives club of the year. We always have a good turnout for our last club because it's the Mother's day celebration!
Left to right; Jenna, Alayna, Sunny, Angie, Emma, Sydney, Karrie holding Lexi's arm, Serina, Kandice, Audra, and Debbie.
Matt started processing our chickens and ducks and cleaned all 12 of them in about 10 days or so. He had quite the method! I love that he's cleaning the chickens right in front of the other chickens... your turn is coming, birdies. We had pretty good success with our first round of raising meat birds! The chickens were between 4.5-7.5 pounds (if I remember correctly), and they ended up costing about $3.30/pound. It's not cheaper than the grocery store, but the grocery store also doesn't provide entertainment for my children or lessons about raising and taking care of animals. It all evens out in the end. We would definitely raise chickens again, but I don't think we would do ducks - they're so messy and a lot harder to catch.
Molly got to go to kindergarten buddy day on 5.8.19. She was THRILLED to be able to go experience kindergarten for a morning! Her kindergarten friend was a little girl named Sky, and Molly came home just raving about Sky. She was asking if Sky could come over to play and talking about how they were going to play together next year without realizing that Sky would be a first grader next year! (Spoiler alert: Sky was held back a year so she actually WAS in Molly's kindergarten class. Molly and Sky were pretty good friends!) The girls were painting here, which explains the matching paint shirts.
This was a sweet friend comparison essay that Charlie had to write for school.
At the end of buddy day, Molly came home with a bag of goodies and a HUGE grin on her face. She was so excited about going to school!

Alanna received a Wolf of the Month award in May. I can't remember what it was for, but she was pleased as punch to get an award! We're so proud of this girl!
